Our Story

Inspire Louisiana is an approved non-profit monthly newspaper ministry which started publishing in early 2015. Our newspaper has a circulation of 25,000 and is currently being distributed in the greater Baton Rouge area, Hammond, and in some areas of New Orleans, with the goal of being available all across Louisiana.

To inspire Church unity and to empower the people of Louisiana to walk in the fullness of God’s blessings through our Christ-based news media portraying the timeless Biblical truths of love, faith, hope, and peace.


Develop and maintain 9 regional editions in Louisiana;

Provide an on-going directory for church and ministry events;

Increase the unity of the Body of Christ by establishing the Mayor’s Community Impact Initiative across our state;

Increase public awareness of the historical impact of our local churches and ministries;

Provide entertaining tools for children’s spiritual growth.


Inspire Team

Skains is a veteran of more than
18 years of newspaper writing, and
publishing. He has written many
feature articles and interviews with
elected officials from the local,
state, and national levels in the
last 17 years for the Piney Woods
Journal. For the last two and a half
years, his feature articles and interviews
have appeared in the Zachary
Post and Feliciana Explorer as
well. Skains has also co-authored
two books and served as publisher
of two other publications: River
Christian Review and Backroads
Observer. A professed Christian
since a teenager, Skains is a native
of Winnfield, LA. Skains is also
a member of the Gideon International
Christian Businessmen’s organization,
Kairos Prison Ministry,
and the Zachary Rotary Club.
Wolfe is a native of Texas and
a Princeton University Seminary
graduate. He has pastored
churches in Chicago, Texas and
Louisiana. Wolfe has authored
one book and written and had
published numerous Christian
themed articles. He has traveled
extensively in both the USA
and Europe, including England
where he met his wife Ann
more than 30 years ago. Wolfe
continues to pastor a church in
Amite, LA while performing
his duties as Editor of Inspire
Louisiana. Wolfe is involved in
several Christian faith based organizations
such as Kairos and
is a friend of the Gideon’s.

Allen is a retired Educator
who served as a classroom
teacher, director of professional
development/ coordinator of
professional development as
well as educational consultant
for school districts throughout
the state. Raised in a Christian
home in north Louisiana, she
has been a practicing Christian
since her early teenage years.
An LSU graduate with three
degrees, she has traveled extensively
in nationwide education
circles. Allen has served as an
elder in her church and was also
a founding member of a Baton
Rouge based Cursillo Group,
now known as Pilgrimage. Allen
has also worked part-time
as an editor for the last 12 years.

Ecuyer is a native of Metairie,
LA. He is a dedicated family
man and has been involved in
Lay-ministry for most of his career.
Ecuyer and his wife are the
parents to 11 children, ten of
whom are adopted. Michael is a
businessman and also executive
director of a non-profit organization.
Michael and wife
Charleen are strong advocates
of home-schooling of which
all their children participated.
Both Michael and Charleen are
Christian published authors.

Garcia, or as known best by the Inspire Team as “Breezy”,
is a retired office manager of a nationwide financial service company
with several local offices in the BR Metro area. A practicing Christian
of many years, she has two daughters and grand-children. A native
of the River Parishes, Brenda works across a broad spectrum of tasks
with Inspire.
Ourso is a retired CPA.
After a career of owning a Tax-
Financial Guidance firm in
Baton Rouge as well as a former
partner in a CPA firm. Ourso, a
native of Baton Rouge and LSU
graduate, was an Army Captain
in the Vietnam War Era. A
kind, dedicated, generous man
to a fault, Ourso wants to spend
his retirement years in helping
spread the good news of Jesus
Christ in a tumultuous world.

Granados is a high energy
level 27 year old marketing
and sales professional. At one
time, Granados ranked in the
top ten in sales production in a
852 member retail store chain
with thousands of sales associates.
She is also a writer having
been published at least a half
dozen times. Granados and her
husband Mason were Youth
Ministers at a church in Encinal,
Texas before moving back
to Baton Rouge, LA. Her true
passion is telling children and
youth the good news of Jesus
Granados was a Youth Minister
during his days working in
the oilfield in south Texas near
Laredo. Mason makes monthly
trips to the hospitals and doctors
office to place copies of
Inspire Louisiana in waiting
rooms. Mason also makes paper
deliveries to grocery stores and
other high traffic areas.

Kelley is a graduate of
the New Orleans Baptist Seminary.
A man of strong Christian
Faith, Miguel has been tested
many times in his life’s journey.
Miguel is a member of Kairos
Prison Ministries. Miguel believes
New Orleans is much
more than Bourbon Street, the
French Quarters, the Superdome,
and casinos; and he believes
a strong Christian base in the
City exists with many longtime
churches and the New Orleans
Baptist Seminary (more than a
100 years old in NOLA) anchoring
the faithful.
